Anniversay Celebrations!
We have lots of anniversary celebrations this month in the family, so Dad and I thought we'd start out sharing ours, and hope everyone follows suit---it's always fun to hear that you're all still happily married! Dad started out the day by bringing me a dozen beautiful red roses---isn't that romantic?! Then we had a lovely dinner (on our china, no less!) of chicken roll-ups, fancy green beans, and grapes--with no dessert.....Jesse called right before we ate, and pointed out how 34 years changes your perspectives (to think that we could celebrate over chicken roll-ups and no dessert!). After dinner, we headed to the temple for a double dose of sealing sessions, which was wonderful in every way! The celebration continues tonight as we are watching our annual viewing of "The Notebook". I make Dad watch this with me every year on our anniversary, just to remind him that he's never going to leave me alone and he's always going to take care of me even if I'm psycho (oh wait---I think we've already reached that point.....). Isn't Dad wonderful?! I just want all of you to know how much we love each other, and how that love continues to grow sweeter and more full every minute, and will for all eternity! You are all part of that love, too, and we hope you always remember that! Love, Mom and Dad

It's so very clear and WONDERFUL the love you have for each other! You two have always been a great example of what a marriage should be like to be happy. Unselfishness, silliness, good communication (even if it did take Dad a lot of Sunday nights for you to get him where you want him), and lots of fun and love! You guys are awesome!! Congrats on the 34 years!!!!!
We love you lots at this house!
Congrats on 34 from Virginia too! After i hung up with you yesterday, I thought how chicken roll-ups, fancy green beans, and grapes is a fitting tribute to your marriage--if you're doing things right, it doesn't matter what you eat, it's still special cause you're eating it together. I'm with Karissa--you two are a marvelous example of what a marriage should be like, and we here in Virginia are very grateful for that example. Way to be smooth, Dad...Joni would have me take some lessons I think....
We were up in DC today at the temple and decided to do some sealings as well seeing that our anniversary is next Thursday. We were into our 5th couple and Joni was so overcome by her view over the altar of me that she fainted. She must have been thinking about how wonderful the past four years have been and that the rest of all eternity will be the same and better....okay so maybe it was just really hot in there and she is pregnant. In any case, it freaked me out a bit as her eyes glazed over and then her head dropped down. All the men jumped to her aid and it so happened that the sealer was a doctor, so he made sure she was alright. Funny thing was we were being sealed for a William and Mary Heyser. Anywho, she is doing much better now and doesn't remember much of the episode.
Congrats again Mom and Dad! We love you!!
