I've had some inquiries about my recent work trip, so I thought I would just post a few photos here.Here I am hard at work trying to blend in with the locals.
Just kidding, those are Wallabies, or "Kangaroos", as they are commonly known in these parts.
Nat and I had a great time, we spent 8 days in Sydney and vicinity, and then a couple in Fiji on the way home. We stayed in Fiji just long enough for the coup to become official (meaning, the military captured the prime minister), and then we had to leave.

How fun! I thought you blended in with the locals very well. Looks like our next family gathering will have to take place in Fiji---see you all in 10 years....:) Oh wait---do please come for Christmas at our house this year, and we can discuss our trip to Fiji then.
i thought you said this was a work trip. i only saw one lonely picture in there with you doing "work" and who's to say that you even took that one while in Austrailia. you could have taken that one in your front room for all we know...
I did like your new display though. Looks mighty professional. I knew that someday you would attain a high enough standing in the conference world to have your own little collapsable display. I like how you changed the logo on it too. You should change your website to match it. Not that the website is bad, but it could use a little refresher.:) Call me and I'll give you my ideas ($95/hour)...

The website is actually being redone now to match the new look, and it's the last thing to finish up. LabStats itself was the first, and I have cool, new brochures and business cards as well.

i like it. orange was a good addition...makes it Labstats a la mode...very vogue. image is everything, especially in a fast-paced, ever changing tech world and i think the new look brings a lot of confidence to the sight that will pass on to your visitors. who is doing if for you? send me some brochures and business cards and i'll pay a visit to the IT folks around campus here.

i showed the new site to joni and she liked it a lot too. she especially liked the fat little icon men and wanted to squeeze them like this--make squeezing motions with both hands while sticking your tongue out and repeatedly saying a nasaly "n"
